Modulation Music Library is a boutique sampling label & library that produces original sample compositions and arrangements inspired by 1960’s – 1980’s soul, jazz, fusion and r&b vinyl recordings across the globe. 

 

Mission: Our aim is to create timeless vintage samples.  Our goal is to bring a new level of soulfulness, color and feel to sample-based musicians and producers of today.

 

Philosophy: Stay true to the sound of the golden era of soul and jazz music. 

 

Story:

The library was created and is curated by music producer Ernest ‘soysoyernesto’ Green. 

As a music producer, I’ve worked with legendary artists (Bronze Nazareth, 9^th Prince, Kevlaar 7, Solomon Childs, George Clinton) and produced music for TV (The Voice, E! Oscar Awards).  I know what it’s like to dig for sounds and also not get placements due to sample clearance issues. 

Creating this library is not only my way of giving back to the music community that has done so much for me, but injecting a new soul to today’s sampled-based music and connecting talented creatives.  Inspired by my vinyl collection and many nights digging in crates from California to Europe!
